Singers Companye, a premier chamber choir based in Akron, is now holding auditions for all voice parts for its 2025–26 concert season, Feel the Joy! Singers are invited to join this outstanding ensemble, known for performing modern choral works in collaboration with a wide range of instrumentalists. The group brings together Northeast Ohio’s most accomplished professional vocalists and instrumentalists in a joyful and cohesive musical environment.
The upcoming season features three major concerts: a fall performance in late November, a spring concert in late April, and a grand finale in June 2026, which will include a “Back to Broadway” program highlighting solo vocalists. The group also collaborates with the instrumental VoxMix Collective to present solo and chamber repertoire, giving singers the opportunity to perform featured selections beyond the ensemble’s core programming.
The fall repertoire will feature works by Ariel Quintana, Michael John Trotta, Hye-Young Cho, David von Kampen, and Eric Whitacre, as well as a new commissioned piece by Eric Benjamin.
Auditions are private and welcoming in a relaxed atmosphere.. Interested singers should prepare one solo piece and be ready for a brief exploration of vocal range and technique. A copy of a musical résumé or summary of musical experience is requested.
